H. E. Mrs Lea Stančič, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia
On 19 July, the President of the Republic of Slovenia signed a decree on the appointment of Lea Stančič as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Romania.
Ambassador Lea Stančič presented her letters of credence to the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis on 11 September 2019.
Lea Stančič has been employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1991. Before that, she had worked for its predecessor, the Republic Committee for International Cooperation, since 1985. Between 2014 and 2019 she served as Ambassador to Albania. Her previous posts include Deputy Head of Mission at the Slovenian Embassy in Dublin and Head of Section for the Implementation of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance at the Foreign Ministry.
